As a fellow martial artist, I love this.

I’ve met fellow Christians who have made a commitment to not use any form of force in an situation. While I can respect their convictions, it doesn’t seem Godly to stand by while innocents are harmed.

I think this gives a good middle ground between defending the weak and not abusing your strength to hurt others made in God’s image.

Thanks <3

"While I can respect their convictions, it doesn’t seem Godly to stand by while innocents are harmed."--agreed. I was pretty heavily influenced by Dietrich Bonhoeffer; violence can't always be wrong, because sometimes that just lets evil people go on to hurt others.

"I've noticed something simlar in arguments online where the people who go nuclear first are usually the ones who lack the tools to actually engage."--yes, same.
