“Compassionism” is a term I coined for how the far-left can take a good thing (compassion) and take it way too far by refusing to temper it with any other values (i.e. “compassion above all else and at all costs”). I had a lot of fun discussing the concept, and the dangers inherent in it, with Amanda Vanstone on Counterpoint.
